Rebel Diva Live Video

>

This week, I share eight habits that helped me write four nonfiction books in four months. I decided to write the Rebel Diva series on Christmas Day 2017 and by April 2018, I had the first drafts of all these books – 920 pages in total – done.

When you write a book, it goes through a series of self and professional edits, beta reads, proofreads and yes, that needs more time. But normally, it’s writing the first draft that’s the most difficult. I’ve seen some authors take years, decades and sometimes even a lifetime to finish just one book.

So, here are the habit hacks that helped me expedite this process and focus on getting the job done.

In the video, I expand on the Pomodoro Technique and show you how I adjusted it to meet my needs. Hope this will help you become more productive and have fun while hitting your goals!

1. Write daily.
2. Schedule your writing time and put it in your calendar.
3. Write when your mind is most fresh, open and creative.
4. Plan at a high level.
5. Use dictation.
6. Set deadlines and goals.
7. Keep track of your work daily.
8. Do writing sprints, using the POMODORO Technique.

More on #8 in the video! Enjoy.
